Interlock Fabric

A variation on rib knit fabric is interlock fabric. It resembles a jersey knit, with the exception that the fabric's front and back are identical. This knit fabric is heavier because it is double knit. Different types of clothing are made using interlock fabric. Just a few examples include polo shirts, dresses, opaque leggings, and pants. It is the perfect fabric for activewear because it is incredibly soft, firm, and absorbent. Interlocks not only offer a lot of stretch, but the fabric also recovers well. This means that after being stretched out, interlock knit fabric will revert to its previous shape.
