Auto-Stripe Fabric

Engineering stripe is the term used when the fabric's stripe repeat is more than 2 inches and cannot be achieved using the feeder stripe approach. On a unique kind of circular knitting machine known as a "auto stripe/engineering stripe machine," engineering stripe patterns are created. In the designed stripe approach, the machine is programmed to shift threads from a large repeat at a specific moment. In this manner, practically any repeat size is possible. Nowadays, engineering stripes are utilized for large repeats more commonly than feeder stripes.
